For many of our guests, travelling with Maher means the ease of a fully escorted tour. The planning is done, the details are managed, and you can settle into the rhythm of the journey knowing everything is taken care of. But that is not the only way to travel with us.
Alongside our escorted tours, we also offer a small number of independent journeys, and for some travellers, the combination of the two works really well.
You might choose to join an escorted tour for part of your trip, then continue on independently for a few extra days. It could be staying on in a place you have connected with, or heading somewhere nearby that sits outside the group itinerary. For others, it is the reverse, starting independently before joining the group.
We also have standalone independent options, for those who prefer a little more flexibility but still want the reassurance of having everything organised in advance. The key difference is not in the quality of the experience, but in the structure.
With an escorted tour, you are travelling with a group, guided throughout, with everything moving in sync. With independent travel, the pace is your own. The planning is still done for you, but you have more space to shape your days as you go. For many, it is not a choice between one or the other. The shared experience and ease of a group journey, alongside the freedom to explore a little further in your own way.
If you are thinking about how to shape your next trip, it is worth considering both. We can help you combine them in a way that feels seamless, so the whole journey works as one.
