This will be an unforgettable experience.

There is a reason why Kenya and Tanzania draw me back nearly every year since I first led a tour there in 2015.  It makes feel alive, insignificant and at peace.  It humbles me and yet inspires me.  The vastness of the landscape, the wildlife, and importantly, the people are memories I cherish.  I hope to share this feeling with you.
After many years of very successful safaris, this one is quite different.  Our “normal” safari travels by road between the game parks, however on this one we travel mainly by plane to maximise the time.
The real highlight is always the wildlife, however on this safari we have chosen the lodges that will absolutely enhance the overall experience.  The Neptune Lodges embody a sense of luxury yet are in keeping with the environment.  From private plunge pools, to your own fireplace in your villa, each location has a surprise.

I look forward to you joining us.

Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Wednesday 19 May - Stone Town

Step into a maze of centuries. Stone Town’s narrow alleys twist between coral-stone buildings, their famous carved wooden doors — studded with brass and etched with Arabic calligraphy — hinting at the wealth of sultans and spice traders who once called this port home. Wander past bustling bazaars heavy with the scent of cloves and cardamom, glimpse ornate mosques and the spires of Anglican and Catholic cathedrals standing side by side. Lose yourself in a UNESCO World Heritage old town where Swahili, Arab, Persian, Indian and European influences blend into something entirely its own. Just steps from the harbour, dhows drift out to sea as they have for generations — a timeless reminder that Stone Town isn’t a museum piece, but a living, breathing crossroads of cultures, still writing its story one spice-scented evening at a time.

We have time this afternoon to relax and enjoy the beach as we reminisce on a wonderful experience.

The tour planning and coverage has been very thorough taking in the different locations and sights with interesting comparisons.

R. Burnett Springtime in Tasmania

The size and composition of the tour party from tour leaders Annie, tour guides, and the travellers was very good. All about the same age and compatibility amongst the tour party was excellent.
